Our show beings with a series of quick vignettes, showing in actions the events leading up to the Trojan War. We start in an airy, ethereal narrative space, and with the final event bump to our Bard character, revealing for the first time the scope of the narrative (and the sound system.) Our dramaturge, Zina Giannopoulou, was able to translate some key words into ancient Greek, which we recorded and used to highlight each event. We recorded her speaking the opening lines of the poem as well, which is the vocoded voice you hear in the music.
