This piece was performed in three sections. When Cathy first approached me about the piece, she had nearly finished the first section (performed to “Rain” by Ryuichi Sakamoto) and third section (performed to “Bibo no Aozora”, again by Ryuichi Sakamoto.) The second section needed to connect the two, and what she had was some movement pieces her dancers had come up with, and a recording of Robert Creeley and his wife reading one of his poems. I put this together using the text form the recording and some bits and pieces of the official album version of “Bibo no Aozora.”
