No Room for Wishing is one-man documentary play written and performed by Danny Bryck about the Occupy Boston movement, and the wider Occupy movement as a whole. All of the text is taken from interviews done by Danny with members of the movement, and from published audio and video of the legal cases surrounding it. They had workshopped the play once before pulling the design team together. When we first met, they had two pieces of indie electronic music that they had liked for pre-show, and a rough acoustic demo of the song from which the play takes its name, which they wanted to use for bows. I decided to write the interior transition music myself, and try to bridge those genres. The show was intended to be performed anywhere, so playback was designed to play out of Danny's laptop through any sound system that might be available.
